Gooseberry Plant, Ribes uva-crispa. Large fruits. Berries develop red colouring as they ripen. “Hinnonmaki Red” is a very hardy strain: resistant to high winds, freezing temperatures and disease. Plant in well drained soil with full sun and feed well. Delicious fruits suitable for eating directly from the bush, as well as making desserts, drinks and preserves. Can be planted any time of the year, will grow fast and strongly. This plant species does have sharp thorns, so be careful when handling!
