Curly Mustard greens like Kale can be overwintered, producing a super-early salad crop. Flowering heads then grow into a mustard equivalent to tender stem broccoli. Undercover and during exceptional mild winters it remains harvestable right through the winter, outdoors it usually wilts in heavy frost but always recovers in spring.
