It is active at temperatures from 6.c upwards and is supplied in slow release sachets that release predators for up to four weeks. Amblyseius californicus generalist predator which can also feed on pollen and other arthropods, so can be introduced before the spider mite is observed or early after it is spotted on plants. This can enable early control of spider mite populations. The sachets are supplied with mini hooks so that they can be hung on plants to release the predators.
