Daubenton kale is a perennial kale that forms an attractive shrubby mound of mild and nutty-flavoured leaves. It belongs to the brassica group Brassica oleracea ramosa, a group of branching bush kales whose outer stems have the tendency to grow out horizontally at first and often root where they touch the ground.
