This Muré Riesling Calcaires Jaunes is an organic Alsace Riesling, displaying the classic purity of fruit with a characteristic mineral finish. It is pale yellow in colour with wonderful lemony citrus notes. Alsace region is situated in the northeast of France, and is one of the world's most exciting and underrated wine regions. Alsace wines are predominantly white, with some outstanding red wines, such as Pinot Noir. Although Alsace is part of France, its wines are labelled by grape variety, and there are only three appellation classifications: AC Vin d'Alsace, Alsace Grand Cru, and AC Crémant d'Alsace. The Muré estate was founded in 1650 by Michel Muré, and is located in the south of Alsace.
