Suma's new coconut oil comes from organically grown, freshly harvested coconuts, which are graded, and the best quality selected. Within 48 hours of picking, the flech is carefully pressed and centrifuge spun to separate the different elements including Extra Virgin oil. By using this 'quick after harvest' separation method, the original quality and therefore the highly beneficial nutrients and medium chain fatty acids found in fresh coconuts are maintained. By processing at source, the value of the raw coconuts is increased on a local basis, creating sustainable, re-investment opportunities for the Philippine farmers.
