Create your own green sanctuary with the Thompson and Morgan Organic Herb Parsley Flat Leaved Seeds. This versatile herb is one of the most favoured for culinary garnishes and flavouring sauces. With a more robust flavour compared to curled varieties, this low-maintenance herb makes a wonderful addition to any herb garden and can also thrive on a bright kitchen windowsill. For optimal growth, direct sow parsley seeds outdoors from March to July in a well-prepared seedbed located in full sun or partial shade. Thinly sow seeds at a depth of 1cm in drills spaced 30cm apart. Note that parsley seeds may take up to 28 days to germinate, particularly in wet and cold soil conditions. Alternatively, seeds can be sown indoors or under glass from August to February for fresh leaves throughout the year. Start the seeds in 7.5cm pots filled with free-draining seed compost, maintaining a temperature of 18-21°C until germination occurs. After germination, thin the seedlings to 23cm apart and gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a week to ten days before planting outdoors once the frost risk has passed. This hardy biennial can grow up to 45cm in height and spread to about the same width, and is supplied as Flat Leaved Organic Parsley seeds in a packet of 700 seeds, complete with growing and care instructions. The pack contains approximately 700 seeds.
